This is a departure from recent flights in that it will require some thermalling skills along the way. We depart from the incorrectly named NZDF – which is actually Springfield ($*$)Aerodrome operated by The Canterbury Gliding club - and take in six of the main lakes on New Zealand’s south Island before arriving at Wanaka.
